As we wrap up this season of holiday movies, I hope you found some new favorites to enjoy! And for anyone who is still looking for more movies to watch to finish off the holidays, Xumo Play recently added some titles from Reel One Entertainment that are new to Canada this year, including two movies that just premiered on Lifetime in the US.
Now available to stream on Xumo Play in Canada are: A Perfect Christmas Carol, Christmas at Carbell Family Farm, Merry Magic Christmas, Royally Yours This Christmas, Sincerely Truly Christmas, Take a Chance at Christmas, and Unforgettable Christmas. For anyone unfamiliar with Xumo Play, it offers free ad-supported streaming and is available in Canada via Rogers and Shaw devices including select smart TVs.
Also, for anyone looking for 2024 premieres from OWN, all three new movies – 24 Karat Christmas, Mistletoe & Matrimony and A Season to Remember are now available to stream free from OWN’s YouTube channel.
And finally, for those who missed A Carpenter Christmas Romance on E! this past weekend, it is now available on-demand from CTV Life!
New in January
Looking ahead to 2025, viewers in Canada can look forward to Season 12 of When Calls the Heart on Super Channel and Heart & Home beginning Sunday, January 5th and a new lineup of Saturday night premieres. More details to come soon!
On W Network, a new season of The Way Home begins in the new year, also on Sunday, January 5th. According to promos, W Network will also feature four new movies as part of “New Year, New Movies” beginning Saturday, January 4th. The lineup appears to include the same four movies premiering in the US on Hallmark Channel’s Winter Escape 2025 but is just being promoted with last year’s theme. The new movies set to premiere in January are: Love of the Irish starring Shenae Grimes-Beech, Stephen Hagan and Moira Kelly, Polar Opposites starring Rhiannon Fish and Markian Tarasiuk, My Argentine Heart starring Julie Gonzalo and Juan Pablo Di Pace, and The Perfect Setting starring Laci J. Mailey and David Elsendoorn.
