A Canadian Guide for Hallmark Movies
Along with the series premiere of Hallmark’s Paris is Always a Good Idea which stars Lacey Chabert and Scott Michael Foster, W Network’s August lineup also features two brand new movie premieres: Toast to Italy starring Torrey DeVitto and Will Kemp and Aussie at Heart starring Rhiannon Fish and Daniel Lissing. W Network’s Fall Into Love lineup also begins next month with the first fall premiere Love Finds You scheduled to air Saturday August 22.
Mark your calendars for this new limited series coming to Canada! Paris is Always a Good Idea will premiere here on W Network on Sunday August 2, just a few days after its US debut on Hallmark+. The six-episode series starring Lacey Chabert and Scott Michael Foster follows Chelsea, a career-driven nonprofit executive, who travels to Paris with her rival-turned-ally Jason. Although there to secure a major donation, a heartfelt message from her late mother leads her on an unexpected journey across Europe to reconnect with the three great loves she left behind.
June is just around the corner so get ready for warmer weather and four brand new movies coming soon as part of W Network’s 2026 Summer Nights lineup! Based on the network’s latest promo, it looks like three of Hallmark Channel’s June premieres are slated to air here in Canada — The Greek Aisle, Texas Two-Step, and The Love Heist — along with Love Is a Dog’s Best Friend, a new movie from Studio TF1 (formerly Reel One Entertainment) that debuted internationally in 2025.
W Network’s May for Moms lineup only featured two premieres but more new movies are on the way this month. So far, A Bet With the Matchmaker and Write Place, Write time are scheduled to air on the network. Both movies are from Studio TF1 (previously Reel One Entertainment) and have been available to stream from services like Xumo Play, Roku or Dove Channel but will make their TV debut in Canada in May. The title for the movie slated for the last Saturday of May has yet to be announced.
In addition to Erin Cahill’s new docuseries Mom’s the Bride and Season 2 of Celebrations with Lacey Chabert, W Network will premiere two new movies in May: Hallmark Channel’s Kentucky Roses starring Andrew Walker and Odette Annable and A Playful Love, which aired on UPtv a few years ago as Star-Crossed Romance. W Network will not be airing Hallmark’s second May for Moms movie All’s Fair in Love & Mahjong — that one is set to premiere here in Canada on CTV Life on Saturday May 9.
Two series from Hallmark make their Canadian premiere on W Network next month. Mom’s the Bride is set to air Friday May 8, one day after its US deubt on Hallmark+. Hosted by Erin Cahill, the six-part docuseries follows women helping their mothers plan the wedding of their dreams. More Celebrations with Lacey Chabert are also on the way with a new season of surprises to honor and celebrate those making a difference in their communities. Look for Season 2 of the series, which aired last fall in the US, to premiere here on Sunday May 17.
