A Canadian Guide for Hallmark Movies
Get ready to soak up the sunshine this summer with Hallmark Channel’s Summer Nights on W Network. In addition to the three movies in the Providence Falls mini-series, two new original movies are also set to premiere in August: Double Scoop starring Taylor Cole and Ryan McPartlin and Catch of the Day starring Emilie Ullerup and Michael Rady. All five movies premiering in Canada are the same as those featured in Hallmark Channel’s August lineup in the US.
As Christmas in July wraps up this weekend, W Network’s latest promos are promising to bring all the holiday cheer and warmth of the season for this year’s upcoming Countdown to Christmas. Based on the promo, it looks like this year’s holiday lineup on W Network will include the new holiday rom-com series Twelve Dates ’til Christmas starring Mae Whitman and the new baking competition series Baked With Love: Holiday hosted by Tamera Mowry-Housely.
Although Super Channel Heart & Home didn’t feature any new premieres for Christmas in July, five new movies are lined up for August! Scheduled to air next month are Beauty and the Billionaire: Bali, Dishing Up Love, Passport to Love, Mr. Right and Love in Focus. The last three movies actually debuted in Canada last year, streaming on Tubi, Plex or SparkTV, but are no longer available on those platforms so catch them all on Heart & Home or Super Channel+ in August!
Looking for more holiday cheer this Christmas in July? Cozy up to these three movies now streaming on Dove Channel (or Cineverse) through Xumo Play or Roku Canada: A Merry Royal Christmas starring Kathryn Davis and Riley Neldam, A Sprinkle of Christmas starring Hayley Sales and Marshall Williams, and Snowy With a Chance of Christmas starring Andrea Brooks and Giles Panton. All three debuted last year on US streaming services but only became available in Canada this spring.
W Network hasn’t announced its full August lineup yet but listings confirm that Hallmark Channel’s new three-part series Providence Falls will be part of it! Look for the first movie to air Saturday, August 2 at 8pm. Based on the books by Jude Deveraux and Tara Sheets, the series stars Katie Stevens, Lachlan Quarmby and Evan Roderick and follows rookie police detective Cora and her new partner Liam, who is her reincarnated love, sent to the present to help her find her true soulmate.
Hallmark home renovation series Home is Where the Heart Is debuted in the US on Hallmark+ this past spring and is now coming to Canada next month! Catch the premiere of the six-episode series on Sunday, August 3 and follow along as Hallmark star and long-time woodmaker Luke Macfarlane and interior designer Olivia Westbrooks help families transform their homes.
