Citytv in October

It looks like Citytv will premiere one more new movie on Saturday night before it begins airing another season of Hockey Night in Canada. Scheduled to air next weekend is:

A Town Called Love
Saturday, October 7th at 8pm et/pt
Movie from Reel One Entertainment (2023)
Starring: Emma Johnson & Marshall Williams

Hopefully Citytv will continue to air new movies going forward, either during another timeslot or on a different day. Given the network’s new fall lineup, and considering their “Romance Movie” night has already moved from Friday, to Sunday and then Saturday, it’s hard to say where it could land, but any updates will be posted – please stay tuned.

CTV Drama October Premieres – Updated

According to cable listings, it looks like the newest Aurora Teagarden Mystery will finally be airing in Canada on CTV Drama! There hasn’t been any news or promotion from CTV but hopefully the listing is accurate – here are the details:

Aurora Teagarden Mysteries: Something New
Sunday, October 1st at 9/6pm et/pt
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries (2023)
Starring: Skyler Samuels, Evan Roderick & Marilu Henner
In this prequel to the series, a young Aurora returns home to Lawrenceton after college and finds herself entangled in a mystery after her friend’s fiancé goes missing and a body is found.

The following weekend has another new movie from Hallmark Movies & Mysteries set to air, and it just premiered in the US this past weekend so it’s really nice not having to wait months to see this one!

Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Murder in G Major
Sunday, October 8th at 9/6pm et/pt
Hallmark Movies & Mysteries (2023)
Starring: Tamera Mowry-Housley, Marco Grazzini & Adam Fergus
When former orchestra conductor Gethsemane moves to Ireland to teach music, she meets the ghost of renowned composer Eamon McCarthy and tries to help prove he wasn’t responsible for his girlfriend Orla’s death.

It’s interesting that these mysteries are airing on CTV Drama as previous new movies have been premiering on CTV Life. Hopefully this means we can look forward to more new movies from CTV Drama in the coming weeks as Mystery Island and the newest Hannah Swensen Mysteries currently have no air dates set in Canada. Please stay tuned for any more updates!

Also, in case you weren’t able to catch Hallmark Channel’s Never Too Late to Celebrate which aired on CTV Life this past weekend, it is currently available to stream online for free from CTV’s website until September 29th. Click here for a direct link to the movie!
