Get ready to head back to Merinac in the new year! Season 2 of The Chicken Sisters is finally coming to Canada, scheduled to premiere on W Network on Sunday, January 4 at 8pm ET/PT. This second season of the series follows Amanda, Mae, Nancy and Gus as they put their long-standing feud behind them, only to face a new feud with the opening of a Mr. Chicken’s Clukery on Main Street. The return of someone from Gus’ past and the lead up to Mae and Jay’s wedding also all unfold in the eight episodes of Season 2.

The Hallmark Christmas Experience special was not listed as part of W Network’s Countdown to Christmas but is scheduled to air on W at the same time as its US premiere. Tune in this Saturday night at 10pm ET/PT to join your favourite stars for a holiday special filled with music and magic. Hosted by Benjamin Ayres and feautring B.J. Britt, Robert Buckley, Paul Campbell, Taylor Cole, Rhiannon Fish, Tyler Hynes, Jessy Schram, Kimberley Sustad, Andrew Walker and Jonathan Bennett.

New Holiday Movies on CBC Gem

CBC Gem’s holiday catalogue is expanding this year with three new exclusive Canadian premieres. Now available to stream is Lifetime’s The Perfect Christmas Date (also titled Merry Missed Connection) which debuted on CBC Gem last month. Roku’s Merry Little Mystery was just added December 1 and coming December 6 is Roku’s Jingle Bell Wedding, a sequel to last year’s Jingle Bell Love. According to CBC’s website, all three movies will also air on CBC later in December.

New on CTV Life, Crave and CTV’s Holiday Hub

A December lineup has been announced! Along with the remaining movies in the Harlequin-inspired CW series, CTV Life will also premiere six new holiday movies from various networks including Lifetime and Hallmark: A Scottish Christmas Secret, Saving the Christmas Ranch, A Pickleball Christmas, Thank God: Christmas at Keller Ranch, Christmas on the 5th Floor and The Christmas Baby, the last Countdown to Christmas movie that didn’t make W’s lineup. All premieres stream next day from Crave.

We Met in December and More Coming to CTV Life

Beginning this weekend, CTV Life will be airing new movies on Sundays as well, so look forward to more titles to come including Hallmark’s We Met in December starring Autumn Reeser and Niall Matter. This movie was not included as part of W’s Countdown to Christmas but was recently added to CTV Life’s schedule and is now set to premiere in Canada on Sunday, November 30 at 10/7pm ET/PT. Exciting news Hearties — we are heading back to Hope Valley in the new year! Hallmark announced Season 13 of When Calls the Heart will premiere Sunday, January 4 and Super Channel Heart & Home has confirmed Season 13 will premiere in Canada at the same time. Fans can also look forward to the return of guest stars Melissa Gilbert and Brooke Shields who will reprise their roles as Georgie McGill and Charlotte Thornton in this newest season of the series.
