Get ready to cozy up because even more holiday movies are on the way to Canada! CTV Life is making spirits bright this holiday sesason with its festive lineup of movies featuring some brand new premieres from Hulu, Lifetime and Hallmark Channel, as well as a number of movies that already premiered in Canada last year, but are new to the network. Also announced – E! Channel will be premiering a new 2024 movie next month from Lifetime. See below for all the details…
Now Streaming on Prime Video
Prime Video is bringing more holiday cheer to Canada! A number of 2023 Christmas movies from Reel One Entertainment have recently been added to Prime’s streaming catalogue. These movies were all released last year in the US or abroad but are only making their way to Canada this year. Some of these titles were available in Canada through Plex Live TV or Xumo Play during “Christmas in July” but a few international releases are just now premiering in both Canada and the US:
New Movies Coming in December
CTV Life hasn’t announced its December premieres but Bell’s streaming service Crave has released its December lineup and included are four brand new holiday movies: Renovation Romance from Hulu, The Holiday Junkie and A Merry Beauty Salon from Lifetime, and A ’90s Christmas from Hallmark Channel. The Way Home – Season 3 to Premiere in January on Hallmark+
Hallmark has announced that the much-anticipated new season of The Way Home will debut on Hallmark+ on January 2, 2025. Season 3 of the series is also scheduled to air on Hallmark Channel where it began two seasons ago, but not until the fall of 2025.
Here in Canada, we know that Season 3 will air on W Network in the new year, as per a press release from Corus, but unfortunately, there is no news yet of when exactly in 2025 that will be.
Jingle Bell Love to Premiere on CBC
CBC has released its holiday television schedule for 2024 and new this year is the Canadian premiere of Jingle Bell Love, a new Roku original movie which stars Michelle Morgan from Heartland and New Kids on the Block singer Joey McIntyre. The movie just debuted on the Roku Channel in the US earlier this week on Monday and is set to premiere here in Canada on CBC on Thursday, December 5th at 8pm. It will also be available to stream on CBC Gem which is free to sign up for.
