A Canadian Guide for Hallmark Movies
Hallmark has announced that the much-anticipated new season of The Way Home will debut on Hallmark+ on January 2, 2025. Season 3 of the series is also scheduled to air on Hallmark Channel where it began two seasons ago, but not until the fall of 2025.
Here in Canada, we know that Season 3 will air on W Network in the new year, as per a press release from Corus, but unfortunately, there is no news yet of when exactly in 2025 that will be.
CBC has released its holiday television schedule for 2024 and new this year is the Canadian premiere of Jingle Bell Love, a new Roku original movie which stars Michelle Morgan from Heartland and New Kids on the Block singer Joey McIntyre. The movie just debuted on the Roku Channel in the US earlier this week on Monday and is set to premiere here in Canada on CBC on Thursday, December 5th at 8pm. It will also be available to stream on CBC Gem which is free to sign up for.
Unfortunately, there is still no official holiday lineup for CTV Life this year but here’s a quick update of what will air this weekend and the next based on listings. Now set to air on Saturday night is Lifetime’s Christmas in the Spotlight, new this year, followed by Christmas with the Foxes, a 2023 movie from Fox Nation. Next Saturday, Great American Family’s 2022 movie Christmas in Pine Valley is scheduled to air, followed by Operation Mistletoe, a new 2024 movie that debuted on Hulu at the start of November. W Network revealed through their newletter the extended cut of 2022’s hit movie Three Wise Men and a Baby will be airing tonight at 9pm ET/PT! The extended version debuted in the US this past summer as part of “Hallmark Channel’s Christmas in July” but will be new for viewers here in Canada. Enjoy a little extra of the Brenner brothers just in time for the premiere of Three Wise Men and a Boy next weekend on Saturday, November 23rd!
CTV Life has not yet announced its full holiday lineup for this year, but so far three new movies are set to air on the network in the coming weeks, including This Time Each Year which premiered on Hallmark Mystery last month but was not scheduled to air in Canada until now.
Also new on CTV Life are Christmas at the Greenbrier (2022) and Christmas with the Foxes (2023) both of which are original movies from Fox Nation. See below for details on all three movies:
Mystery Island is now available to stream in Canada on Amazon Prime Video. It first premiered back in September of 2023 on Hallmark Mystery in the US and has finally made its way to Canada! Starring Elizabeth Henstridge and Charlie Weber, the movie follows psychiatrist Emilia Priestly as she travels to a murder-mystery-themed resort. When things take a deadly turn and the resort’s founder is murdered, she teams up with local detective Jason Trent to investigate the crime.
