So far this season, the lineup forCitytv’s 2023 Very Merry Movies has only consisted of holiday movies that have aired previously on the network. However, it looks like Citytv will premiere at least one new movie this year – Under the Christmas Sky, a 2023 Hallmark Channel Countdown to Christmas movie, is scheduled to air a few days before Christmas!
Citytv has typically aired a substantial number of new holiday movies each year so it’s quite unfortunate that this year’s offering has been so limited. It’s still possible that the network premieres another new movie before Christmas though, so please check back for any updates… Hopefully there will be at least one!

Citytv Very Merry Movies
Citytv started airing some repeat holiday movies this past week but so far, no new movies are scheduled to air on the network. Hopefully Citytv will be airing some new movies later this month – Please check back for any updates!
CBC Holiday Programming
Unfortunately CBC’s holiday schedule this year will not include any new holiday movies. The network will air holiday movies from previous years throughout the month, all of which are available to stream on CBC Gem.
OWN Holiday Premieres
Based on listings so far, it looks like OWN Canada will be following the same premiere schedule as in the US. Here are the new movies OWN is featuring this year:

While there hasn’t been anything official announced about the lineup for Canada’s 2023 It’s a Wonderful Lifetime, it looks like the network will begin airing holiday movies back-to-back on weekends beginning this Saturday and included in the mix are some new premieres. So far, these are the new movies scheduled to air on Lifetime Canada and holiday programming this year does include a thriller from Lifetime Movie Network:

Please note that Laughing All the Way is actually airing a few days earlier on W Network and that W also already premiered another 2023 Lifetime movie Christmas at the Chalet. As well, CTV Life is scheduled to air two other new Lifetime movies The Holiday Proposal Plan and The Christmas Intern in December.
Considering some movies are being aired on W and CTV Life and that three movies on their 2023 slate – Christmas Plus One, Mistletoe Match and Planes, Trains and Christmas Trees – already aired last year in Canada, that only leaves four new movies left to hopefully premiere on Lifetime here in Canada: A Cowboy Christmas Romance, Yes, Chef! Christmas, Merry Magic Christmas and Mom’s Christmas Boyfriend. There’s also a chance another missed movie from a previous year might make it into the lineup and finally air in Canada! Any new movies added to Lifetime’s schedule in the coming weeks will be included here so please check back for updates!
The complete schedule for CTV Life’s 2023 Holiday Programming has finally been released! This year’s lineup features over 20 movies new to the network and includes titles from Hallmark, GAC Family, Lifetime, UPtv and Hulu. So far, all the holiday movies premiering on CTV Life are available to stream free from CTV’s website so hopefully that will continue all through the holiday season. Some of the movies slated to air this year already premiered in Canada in 2022, but 17 new movies will be making their Canadian debut!

Unfortunately, there has been no press release yet announcing CTV Life’s holiday lineup this year, but it appears that the network’s holiday programming starts today with a new movie premiering this evening and a slate of holiday movies scheduled throughout the day tomorrow. Today’s premiere is a movie that was available to stream on Hulu in the US beginning November 1st:

A number of holiday movies that have already aired in Canada are available for free on Tubi but recently added are two holiday movies that were originally available on-demand and have not yet aired on cable TV in Canada.
