A Canadian Guide for Hallmark Movies
CBC has released its holiday television schedule for 2024 and new this year is the Canadian premiere of Jingle Bell Love, a new Roku original movie which stars Michelle Morgan from Heartland and New Kids on the Block singer Joey McIntyre. The movie just debuted on the Roku Channel in the US earlier this week on Monday and is set to premiere here in Canada on CBC on Thursday, December 5th at 8pm. It will also be available to stream on CBC Gem which is free to sign up for.
New movies set to release on Netflix Canada in November include four holiday rom-coms that feature some familiar faces…
Meet Me Next Christmas debuts this week on Wednesday, November 6th and stars Christina Milian, Devale Ellis and Kofi Siriboe. The movie follows the story of hopeless romantic Layla whose search for the man of her dreams means she must find a ticket to a sold-out Pentatonix Christmas concert.
CTV has yet to announce its holiday programming for this year but the CTV Holiday Hub is now available online. Last year’s holiday premieres from CTV Life, as well some movies from previous years, are all streaming free (with ads) from CTV’s website and this includes titles from a variety of US networks such as Hallmark, Great American Family, Lifetime and UPtv. No sign-up or account is necessary to access these free ad-supported movies.
Super Channel’s Heart and Home Christmas is bringing you lots of cheer this holiday season beginning Friday, November 1st. This year’s lineup on Heart & Home features 21 new movies including 12 Canadian broadcast premieres. The remaining movies in its holiday programming are new to the network but already aired in Canada last year.
Lifetime has just revealed its holiday slate for this year’s It’s a Wonderful Lifetime which begins November 16th and features 12 brand new movies. One of these movies How to Fall in Love by Christmas already premiered last year as part of W Network’s 2023 holiday programming. No announcement has been made for Lifetime Canada but new movies from Lifetime typically premiere here on Lifetime or other networks so hopefully we will see these same premieres in Canada as well.
