A Canadian Guide for Hallmark Movies
CTV has yet to announce its holiday programming for this year but the CTV Holiday Hub is now available online. Last year’s holiday premieres from CTV Life, as well some movies from previous years, are all streaming free (with ads) from CTV’s website and this includes titles from a variety of US networks such as Hallmark, Great American Family, Lifetime and UPtv. No sign-up or account is necessary to access these free ad-supported movies.
Super Channel’s Heart and Home Christmas is bringing you lots of cheer this holiday season beginning Friday, November 1st. This year’s lineup on Heart & Home features 21 new movies including 12 Canadian broadcast premieres. The remaining movies in its holiday programming are new to the network but already aired in Canada last year.
Lifetime has just revealed its holiday slate for this year’s It’s a Wonderful Lifetime which begins November 16th and features 12 brand new movies. One of these movies How to Fall in Love by Christmas already premiered last year as part of W Network’s 2023 holiday programming. No announcement has been made for Lifetime Canada but new movies from Lifetime typically premiere here on Lifetime or other networks so hopefully we will see these same premieres in Canada as well. So far this season, the lineup for Citytv’s 2023 Very Merry Movies has only consisted of holiday movies that have aired previously on the network. However, it looks like Citytv will premiere at least one new movie this year – Under the Christmas Sky, a 2023 Hallmark Channel Countdown to Christmas movie, is scheduled to air a few days before Christmas!
Citytv has typically aired a substantial number of new holiday movies each year so it’s quite unfortunate that this year’s offering has been so limited. It’s still possible that the network premieres another new movie before Christmas though, so please check back for any updates… Hopefully there will be at least one!

Citytv Very Merry Movies
Citytv started airing some repeat holiday movies this past week but so far, no new movies are scheduled to air on the network. Hopefully Citytv will be airing some new movies later this month – Please check back for any updates!
CBC Holiday Programming
Unfortunately CBC’s holiday schedule this year will not include any new holiday movies. The network will air holiday movies from previous years throughout the month, all of which are available to stream on CBC Gem.
OWN Holiday Premieres
Based on listings so far, it looks like OWN Canada will be following the same premiere schedule as in the US. Here are the new movies OWN is featuring this year:
