A Canadian Guide for Hallmark Movies
Two new series from Hallmark+ are set to debut in Canada at the end of March! The Chicken Sisters and Small Town Setup have both been added to W Network’s website with a series premiere date of March 30th.
The Chicken Sisters, the family drama based on KJ Dell’Antonia’s best-selling novel, first released with the launch of Hallmark+ back in September 2024. Corus announced last year that W would air the series in Canada, but no premiere date had been announced until now.
In addition to the remaining episodes of Season 12 of When Calls the Heart on Sundays, Super Channel Heart & Home will also air four new movies Friday nights in March: Romance on the Ranch, A Toast to Love, Love Switch and Love Across Time. All four movies will be making their TV debut in Canada next month but are (or will be) available to stream online from SparkTV on Youtube. W Network still hasn’t announced its complete lineup of March premieres yet, but listings indicate all three of Hallmark Channel’s Royal Weekend movies will also premiere here in Canada this month: The Royal We starring Mallory Jansen and Charlie Carrick, The Reluctant Royal starring Emilie de Ravin and Andrew Walker, and Royal-ish starring Nichole Sakura and William Moseley. Get ready Sleuthers – the latest installment of the Hannah Swensen Mysteries finally has a Canadian airdate! Reality Bites: A Hannah Swensen Mystery is now scheduled to premiere on CTV Life on Saturday March 8 at 8/5pm ET/PT. Tune in then to see what happens when a producer filming a reality show at the Cookie Jar is found dead. Starring Alison Sweeney, Victor Webster, Gabriel Hogan and Barbara Niven.
It’s a wish come true – Hallmark Channel’s The Wish Swap is finally coming to Canada! Starring Emily Tennant and Jake Foy, the movie just premiered in the US earlier this month as part of Hallmark Channel’s Loveuary but was not included in the programming for W Network’s Loveuary lineup here in Canada. However, it is now scheduled to make its Canadian premiere on CTV Life next month, airing on Saturday March 1 at 8/5pm ET/PT.
Along with new episodes of Season 12 of When Calls the Heart, Super Channel Heart & Home will also premiere four new movies this month from Reel One Entertainment. All four of them are making their TV debut in Canada but three have previously been available here through streaming services like Roku Canada or Plex TV.
