W Network’s Christmas in July

W Network has yet to release a schedule for this year’s Christmas in July but promos reveal it will begin Friday, July 5th here in Canada, and not at the end of June like in the US. Starting on the evening of July 5th, viewers can expect to see back-to-back holiday movies every weekend and according to the promo, seven “all new premieres” will be featured! Only three brand new movies are set to premiere in the US (between Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movies Now) so it will be interesting to see what other movies complete W’s lineup this year. Here’s what’s known so far:

According to listings, the first two premieres are:

Falling Like Snowflakes
Saturday, July 6, 2024 at 8pm et/pt
(US Premiere: Saturday, June 29th)
Hallmark Channel (2024)
Starring: Rebecca Dalton & Marcus Rosner
“A photographer determined to complete her exhibit by capturing a rare photo of a 12-sided snowflake, enlists the help of a childhood friend and they go on a mission they’ll never forget.”

A Christmas Open House
Sunday, July 7, 2024 at 8pm et/pt
Discovery+ (2022)
Starring: Katie Stevens & Victor Rasuk
Property stager Melissa works with her high school crush David to renovate and sell her mother’s house before Christmas.

Promos indicate the following movies will also premiere in July:

Rescuing Christmas
Date: TBA
Hallmark Movies Now (2023)
Starring: Rachael Leigh Cook & Sam Page
After Erin’s wish for Christmas to disappear comes true, she must find a way to save the holiday that has been erased from everyone’s memories.

A Very Vermont Christmas
Date: TBA
US Premiere: Saturday July 20, 2024
Hallmark Channel (2024)
Starring: Katie Leclerc & Ryan McPartlin
“A local champion skier (Leclerc) and Vermont brew master (McPartlin) team up as an unlikely match to create a seasonal microbrew, in order to save her family’s business by Christmas.”

Yes! Chef Christmas
Date: TBA
Lifetime (2023)
Starring: Tia Mowry, Luke Humphrey & Buddy Valastro
Culinary school instructor Alicia gets the opportunity to compete in cooking contest and hopes this is the big break she needs to become a true chef.

It’s likely that W’s July lineup will include other movies that already premiered elsewhere but will be “new” for Canada but hopefully Operation Nutcracker (which starts streaming July 1st on Hallmark Movies Now in the US) will be premiering here as well. Please check back for a complete schedule once it becomes available.
